Last night, Tottenham Hotspur were knocked out in a, quite frankly embarrassing, defeat to Dinamo Zagreb. Jose Mourinho’s side went into the tie with a two goal lead, but a spectacular hat trick from Mislav Orsic saw the lily-whites knocked out after extra time.

So, how can Spurs change their fortunes? Is Jose Mourinho the man to lead Tottenham Hotspur back into form, or is his time coming to an end in North London? It looks like the only chance for silverware is the league cup, but will they win this on current form?

On top of a shocking European result, they lost in the north London derby at the weekend, despite taking the lead from Eric Lamela’s fabulous Ramona goal, and then the game ruined by two silly yellow cards for the Argentinian, leading to an early shower.

Tottenham Hotspur need another star man, who can relieve the pressure on Harry Kane and Hueng Min Son. Fans had hoped that was going to be Gareth Bale on his return from Real Madrid, but his form has been very hit and miss this season, with flashes of brilliance but a few niggling injuries putting an end to any run of games he would hope to have. Maybe a new number ten, to fill the role left by Christian Eriksen, would be the best option for Hotspur.

An option could be Paulo Dybala, as the versatile forward is out of favour in Turin, and it looks as though Pirlo prefers Dejan Kulusevski. Another option could be a shock move for Nabil Fekir. the frenchman nows plays for Real Betis, and has all the attributes to be a star man in London. His issue is that he is injury prone, but this season he has been free from injuries, and since moving to Spain he has been in great form.

However, the best option may be to move Tanguy Ndombele further forward, and let him make use of his incredible dribbling ability. He is a unique player, as he is strong and tall, but also can dribble and if he improved his timing of runs late into the box he would score a fair few knock downs from the balls in from Sergi Reguilon.

Whether Jose is the right man at the helm is for Spurs fans to decide, as there are not a plethora of top tier managers available at current. Let us know spurs fans, how do you recover your season, and how do you push on next season?
